5 of 5 Installation Tip for early model Sub 2000 guns January 7, 2013
Reviewer: wayne jardine from ogden, UT United States
My gun is an early model with a first generation sight.  This sight has a steel bushing under the plastic, not aluminum like the newer models.  Its much harder to remove.  I had to cut a groove across the length of the bushing then heat with a 1100 dregree heat gun to get Locktite to release.

I got my sight last night, inspected and installed it and had to write you guys to tell you, the quality of this item is second to none.

The fit was great, not hard to install, easy to adjust and I really appreciate the quality machining of this product.

I also love the fact it is American made. Thank you. Keep up the good work. Dave

One item that should be discussed is the removal the original Kel Tec sight. It requires the total destruction of the sight in order to remove it. You also have to use a heat gun to remove the bushing if you want to istall extended one. I believe this information should be divulged before buying a sight. The sight will not fit between the extended butt stock if you have that accessory. I do not want to destroy the Kel Tec sight so I have a nice sight sitting on the shelf in my gun room.

5 of 5 great product - medium install difficulty September 8, 2012
Reviewer: Michael Southern from Raleigh, NC United States
Fantastic sights. Huge improvement over the plastic nonsense Kel Tec uses. Easy to adjust. I found the install relatively easy, but if you arent handy you may want to visit a gun smith. There are good video on YouTube, and I followed those with no issue. Had to buy a butane torch, but that is handy to have around anyway.

If you're on the fence about buying the Sub2000 Front Sight, wait no longer!  This is a wonderful product and ENTIRELY worth the asking price.  I'm extremely satisfied with the product I received.  Installation was straight forward and direct... zero issues.  Fast and reasonable shipping as well.

Two thumbs up RLP, Thank you!

5 of 5 Sub 2000 front sight July 21, 2012

This is almost as great a product than the hand guard for a Sub 2000. After getting the OEM front sight off, this was so simple to install. Feels like your working with a real rifle sight now.

Definatley an upgrade from the stock sight. It's quality stuff, well made. Easy to adjust.
Installed it with muzzle comp. "flat face". Looks fantastic.
Don't forget to get the AR 15 A2 Style Sight Tool.

Now I just wish you guys made an adjustable butt stock replacement.
